About this trip

Trip overview

Rafting is one of the most exciting adventure activities visitors enjoy in Nepal. The country’s rivers originate from the high Himalayas, formed by melting snow and glaciers, creating powerful currents and spectacular white-water conditions that make Nepal one of the best rafting destinations in the world.

Among the many rafting rivers, the Trishuli River is one of the most popular choices for a day trip rafting adventure. Easily accessible to & from Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. The Trishuli River offers an ideal combination of thrilling rapids and beautiful natural scenery. During the rafting trip, visitors paddle through exciting Class II–III rapids while enjoying views of lush green hills, riverside villages, and sandy river beaches.

The journey down the river includes fun wave trains and bouncy rapids that create plenty of splashes and excitement, making it perfect for friends, families, and adventure seekers. Between rapids, there are calm sections where rafters can relax, take in the scenic surroundings, and even enjoy a refreshing swim in the river.

A Trishuli River day rafting trip provides the perfect opportunity to experience Nepal’s famous white-water adventure within a short time, combining adrenaline, natural beauty, and unforgettable fun on the river.

Benighat to Jawang Khola

L

Your rafting adventure begins with an early morning pickup from the meeting point in Kathmandu at around 6:45 AM. From there, you will drive for about 2.5 hours along the Prithvi Highway to Benighat, the put-in point on the Trishuli River.

Upon arrival, the rafting crew prepares the equipment and provides a safety briefing and paddling instructions before starting the trip. The rafting then begins with fun Class I–III rapids, offering an exciting mix of wave trains and beautiful scenery along the river valley.

After about 1 hour of rafting, you will stop at a sandy riverside beach for lunch. Enjoy a relaxing outdoor riverside lunch, giving you time to rest, swim, and enjoy the natural surroundings.

After lunch, the rafting continues through more enjoyable rapids and scenic sections of the Trishuli River, including the narrow and exciting Trishuli Gorge, where the river current becomes faster and the rapids more frequent.

The rafting trip ends in the afternoon at Jawang Khola, from where you will transfer to your onward destination, completing a memorable day of white-water rafting.
